トロントにスギ花粉は少ないらしい
でも別にオークやメープルなど、他の木の花粉はあるし花粉症も存在するらしい。

どうも、ケイトです。
春ですね！！！
と言いますか、トロントが急に暖かくなりました。
先週は雪が降ったり、風が強かったりと言っていましたが、今週はずっと10度以上を保ち、穏やかな天候になってきましたね。
とはいえ、私は寒がりなので、ジャケットを着て外出しました。
いつもの雪用コートに比べると全然薄くて軽いですが、街中の人たちと比べると私だけがモコモコしているように感じました。
特に、外出をした日は16度でしたね。
そうなんです、ここ1ヶ月は期末試験期間なので基本的に忙しいですが、先週はやっと一息つく余裕ができたので、積み重ねていたタスクを片付ける時間を丸1日取りました。
それで、印刷のために大学のキャンパスに行ったところ、早速こんなにもお花が。やっぱり、春ですね〜〜〜。
何のお花なんでしょうか。
その後は、まずは腹ごしらえということで、久しぶりに外食をしました。贅沢に日本食を。
トロントの日本食レストランは、日本から来ているワーキングホリデーの人や留学生が多く、日本人の店員さんが多いんですよね。
私は（トロントなので）いつも通り英語で注文しましたが、おそらくそれで私が日本人ではないと思われたのか、まぁまぁ大きな声量でバックヤードから日本語で話している声が聞こえてきて、そのBGMの中で美味しいご飯を楽しみました。
凄い大谷選手の話をしていました。わかる、気になるよね。時事ネタでした。
なお、一番の目的であった買い物はお店に行ったところ品切れだったので、別の日に再度行くことにしました。
大人しく他の用事をこなして、いつも通り牛乳や卵を買って帰ってきました。
また行きます…
ちなみに、上記のすべては突然の思いつきでして、既に12時間以上起きている状態からそのまま5軒もの場所を回るという、無茶なスケジュールでした。
最後には、帰りがてらにカナダならどこにでもある「Tim Hortons」の「Timbits」、ミスタードーナツでいうドーナツポップを買って、数日間かけて1人で全部食べました。ジャンキ〜〜〜〜。美味しかったです。
一人暮らしは急に突拍子もない変なことをしても誰も困らないから、いいよね。

It’s spring!
Or should I say, Toronto has suddenly become warmer.
Last week I said it was still snowing and windy, but this whole week the weather has been mild, staying over 10 degrees Celsius.
The past month has been generally busy because of the final exam period, but last week I finally had time to catch my breath and take some time to finish the tasks that had been piling up, so I went outside.
That day went all the way up to 16 degrees Celsius!
However, I am extra sensitive to the cold, so I put on my jacket and went out.
It’s a lot thinner and lighter than my usual snowproof coat, but I felt like I was the only one who had such a thick jacket compared to the people in town.
That day, I decided to eat out for the first time in a while. Splurged a little on some Japanese food.
Japanese restaurants in Toronto have many Japanese staff because a lot of them are people on working holiday or students from Japan.
I ordered in English as usual (since I am in Toronto), but perhaps that made them think I was not Japanese, so I could hear them talking in Japanese from the backyard at a fairly loud volume, and I enjoyed my delicious meal with the background radio.
They were talking about Otani. I know I’m curious too.
After that, I did a ton of shopping, went to like 5 stops total, and in the end on the way home, I bought a whole box of Timbits for myself. Like every responsible university student may do.
Honestly living alone is great because you can just think of and do crazy stuff and not get anyone involved.
