唐揚げにレモンは要らない派
おはようございます。
どうもケイトです。
なんかトロント本日から急に寒くなりました！！！！
というかここ最近の推移が凄くてですね。
2週間前は涼しかったのに、先週は平均２６度とかのはちゃめちゃ暖かい1週間になり、今週は最高温度が一気に１５度程まで下がりました。
このブログでは過去に何度も言っていますが、シンガポール育ちの私は「季節」に慣れていないため、この季節の変換期的なタイミングが苦手なんですよね。適当な服装が読めないし、急に乾燥するし。
今日も一応暖かくしようと思って長袖にジャケットで出かけたのですが、それでも寒かったので、そろそろジーンズの下にヒートテックを忍ばせる時期が来たのかもしれません。
…と言おうと思って東京の天気予報を見たところ、トロントより激しい毎日のペースで乱高下していて、なんだか文句を言いづらいですね。
頑張れ日本の民。
気温差といえば、今年講義のクラスが集中しているビルの暖房が強く、室内外の温度差が激しいんですよね。
外で体が冷え切ってから凄く暖かい中に移動しちゃうと、体温調整が本当に苦手なので、教室に着いて座ってからも１０分くらいずっと汗を拭き続けています。
隣の席の人がめちゃめちゃ汗拭いてたら嫌だよね〜、とか思いながら必死に涼もうとしているんですけれども。
冬に向けてどんどん寒くなってくるし、日本の夏に人気な小型扇風機でも欲しいところです。
ちなみに前回書いた委員会の話ですが、今年度の部長の方針により様々なイベントが増え、また委員会のメンバー内でも会うことが増えまして、今週はご飯に行ってきました。
トロントでは珍しい牛タンと唐揚げです。
こうやってたまに日系の居酒屋とか行くと楽しいし、ご飯が美味しいんですよね！！！
放っておくとずっと部屋に引きこもっている私的には、なんだか去年よりもずっと多く人と話している気がします。
それで新しい人に会うたびに、大体自分が皆んなより年上でビビります。あぁ、私ももう４年生だもんね……。

Hello everyone, it’s Kate.
It’s suddenly real cold here in Toronto today!!!!!
The temperature has been a whole rollercoaster these few weeks.
Two weeks ago it was a nice cool temperature, last week it was crazy warm, and this week the forecast is looking like a maximum temperature of only 15 degrees Celsius.
As I’ve probably said wayyy many times before, I’m not good at this season’s transition timing.
Firstly I’m not used to having ‘seasons’ having grown up in Singapore. I can’t read the appropriate clothing and it gets so dry too.
Today I went out in long sleeves and a jacket just in case, but it was still too cold!
Speaking of temperature differences, the building where my lecture classes are concentrated this year has a rather strong heating system, so the temperature difference between inside and outside is quite intense.
I’m really bad at adjusting my body temperature, so every time I have class, I’m always sitting there wiping sweat off my face for about 10 minutes after arriving.
It’s getting colder and colder as we head towards winter, and I’d love to have a small fan like the ones popular in summer in Japan with me right now.
On another note, I wrote about the committee last time, but due to the policy of the leader this year, various events have increased and we have more meetings among the committee members, we even went out for dinner this week.
I feel like I’m talking to a lot more people than I did last year.
But every time I meet someone new, I’m usually older than all of them and I freak out.
Oh no, so this is what the fourth year feels like……
