スタバの速度に置いていかれる
おはようございます。
バレンタインシーズン限定のスタバフラペを飲み逃したケイトです。
もう無くなってたの知らなかった…早い…。
メニュー見たらとっくに変わってて、春っぽい、さくらベリーシリーズなんてのが宣伝されてました。
日本のスタバは期間限定が本当に短期間なのね。残念。
ていうか２月なのにさくらって、ちょっと早くない？スタバ気が早くない？（責任転嫁）
そもそも日本はまだ冬なのかもう春なのかはっきりして欲しい。気温の乱高下が暴れすぎてて全然春っぽくない。
１０度切ったと思ったら翌日２０度手前って。なんだそれ。
せっかく可愛いコート買ったからまだ着てたいなぁ。
ユニクロで買ったんだけど、見てこの可愛いネオンの店頭。原宿ユニクロです。
話は変わって、先週「休み明けはテストが多い」と軽く触れましたが、今週はなんと２教科もあります。
うげぇ！
テストの形式としては「決まった時間に、全員が同時に受ける」と「２４時間（など）の枠の間の好きな時間に受ける」があります。
後者はやっぱり海外勢を意識した優しさだと思うんだけど、前者ちょっと…厳しくない？？
数字弱者だから毎度時差計算が不安なのは置いといて、人によってテストの時間が変わってくるの、仕方がないとはいえあんまり親切じゃないよね。
だって明日のテスト、カナダでは朝９時からだけど、私は１１時からだよ。夜の。２３時の方。
おっっっそ。
休み前だったらほぼ１２時間ひっくり返ったような昼夜逆転生活してたから大丈夫だったかもしれないけど、今週は日本時間に合わせて生きてたから、寝る前にテストになっちゃうんだよね。当日は昼寝でもしておこうかな…。
授業のためには昼夜逆転がもう必要不可欠だけど、やっぱり友達と遊んだり出かけたりするには勿論日本時間で生きてた方がいいんだよね。
まぁ、授業優先ですし、また来週再来週あたりには夜型人間に戻すんですけど。
もう一つの、２４時間枠のテストは今学期初めて取った心理学。
こいつが本当に心配なんですわ！！！！！
毎週授業がきっかり２時間。しかもノンストップ専門用語みっちり。覚えることが多いのなんの。
テスト自体も選択問題が５０問と記述が２問らしいんだけど、いや選択問題多くね？
それはもうほぼ暗記勝負じゃん。苦手なんですわ暗記は…。
叩き込んできます……。

In comparison to the Singapore Starbucks (which probably only releases seasonal drinks on Christmas), Japanese Starbucks releases so so many seasonal drinks- which are all cute and delicious and all, but they put out new ones at such a speed, that I keep missing out on them.
It’s about a week past Valentine’s day today, but they’ve already gotten rid of Valentine’s drinks and have Sakura (cherry blossom) ones out for the upcoming spring seasons.
I swear it isn’t even spring yet though…
Talking about time flying, reading week has come and gone, and we have some tests to battle this week.
UGH.
There are mainly 2 types of test setups in this remote online settings; one is real-time testing where everyone takes the test at the same time, and the other is where there is a time window where you can write the paper anytime within that time slot.
This week I have both of them.
So for the first system, the professor will release a link at that exact time, and everyone starts the test at the same time universally. The time would be released like “9:00 AM EST”, everyone will log in at their corresponding time.
For me, it would be in Japanese time- which is 14 hours earlier- so on the same day, but 11:00 PM.
Yeah, I have tests starting at 11 PM. I know.
This system is probably easier and safer for the professors to control all the students and make sure no-one is cheating and stuff, but I don’t think it’s the kindest or fairest way for the students’ access.
The other system is having a time slot. The one I have this week has a window of 24 hours, and students can take the 2-hour paper whenever they can within the 24 hours.
That’s probably kinder for all the students’ access, but I’m guessing it’s harder to ensure no-one’s helping anyone else out and stuff.
