Week 3 is over and things are starting to calm down!
From my personal experience, everyone seems busy and even unrestful until mid-September every year.
A lot of it comes from people just adapting back to their environment, but also, September 20th is the deadline to add new lectures for the Fall term at the St. George campus, so there’s a lot of fluctuation till that day.
For people who couldn’t enrol in specific lectures because of maximum capacity, this is the time they have to constantly check in on the enrolment page to see if anyone has dropped the course yet.
For people who did join a lecture, but for some reason it didn’t work out for them, a lot of them would need to find a new lecture to join instead.
So it’s kind of hard to go out or invite people until this period is over.
But now that’s done, and there are only about 2 more weeks until we start preparing for midterms (that are now all closed book, in-person written papers, and not online open book quizzes), this is the time when people have probably one of the most times out of the term to have fun.
So I also went out to enjoy myself and my friends’ company a little.
It’s great to explore new restaurants, especially when your friends introduce them to you!
