長年の夢、叶ったり
おはようございます。
どうもケイトです。
なんだか先1週間ほどがずっと雷雨予報で怖いですね。
雨季はもう終わったと思ったのにねえ。
来週の予定、今のうちにずらそうかしら。
そんな私は今週やっっっっと散々やりたいやりたい言ってた成人式の前撮りをやってきました！
わーい！ 言い出してから1、２年以上経った気がする！！
多分２０２０年の６月頃には撮りたいって言い出してた気がする！！！
もう今年の４月に２０歳になってね。でも学年度的には２０２３年の1月が成人式なので、多分前撮りなんだと思います。
それにしても着物選ぶのって大変。
元々の振袖自体が物凄い種類あるし、そこに重ね襟だの帯だのの組み合わせを考えると本当に無数で。
結局色々悩んだ結果、優柔不断の化け物なのでレンタルのもの１着と実家のもの１着で計２着も着ちゃいました。
本当に可愛くて選べなくてねぇ。
どっちも着たくなっちゃったんです。そしてちゃんと２着ともで写真、プラス家族写真も撮っちゃいました。
…なんだかんだ人より多くなっちゃった気がするけど、人生において成人式の撮影は1度きりだし、許されてもいいよね。
ねっ。
それにしても、家族写真ってなかなか撮る機会ないですよね。
みんなは最後にしっかり家族で写真なんて撮った時がいつだか覚えていますか？
私は高校の卒業式（在宅オンライン式）の時にちょっと自撮りしたかも。
ちなみに写真を撮った後、実家の着物を着た姿を祖父母に見てもらうためにそのまま行ったのですが、まぁ街中でも目立つ。
チラチラ二度見されてるのが分かりやすくて面白かったです。振袖って華やかだもんね。
それにしてもちょうどその日は雨上がりの晴れきらない程度の天気で、外で歩くにもまだ心地の良い気温で助かりましたね。
とりあえず一つやりたかったことが達成できて満足です。

I’ve been having some sleep problems recently, like not being able to fall asleep, waking up at weird times, and falling back asleep during more awkward hours so I wake up in the afternoon.
Ugh, why is this happening and how do I get over this?
On another note I finally got my furisode photos taken.
“Furisode”s are a specific type of kimono with long sleeves.
Directly translated, “furi” means to shake, “sode” means sleeves, thus pointing to kimonos with sleeves so long you could shake them whilst walking.
It’s an old Japanese custom to wear these furisodes on the year you turn 20, attend ceremonies and take photos to celebrate the coming of age in Japan.
I turned 20 this year, plus the Japanese government recently changed the coming of age year to 18 years old, so this year was the best time for me.
Oh and, although I wore the kimonos and took some photos, I didn’t attend the ceremony.
I mean the ceremonies happen during winter and I didn’t come back to Japan this winter in the first place, but also I barely have any old friends of my age in Japan, so it probably wouldn’t have been much fun to join.
But the photos are beautiful and I’m kind of happy enough with that!
