欲しい時に限って欲しいものが見つけられない
おはようございます！
室内で小物を無くすプロ、ケイトです。
MacBookちゃんの音声がぶっ壊れてひたすら爆音でステレオノイズ（ガガガガアアアアアみたいな音）を耳元で鳴らし続ける機械と化した、と言うことを多分去年末から嘆いているのですが、５、６回ほどApple Storeに出しては返ってきてを繰り返し、その後一切音の鳴らない機械へと謎のダウングレードを果たし、私とMacBookとApple Storeの戦いは８ヶ月を超えました。
そして今週！！！やっと！！！！
設定全ワイプしてスピーカー部分も２回目くらいの入れ替えをしてOSも消して入れ直して真っ新にして！！！！
正常に音が出る機械へと戻りました〜〜〜〜〜〜〜！！！！！！
長い戦いでした…およよ。
とは言っても3月下旬くらいには全消しして設定から入れ直さないと直らない問題ということは発覚していたのですが、シンガポールのApple Storeはコロナで営業を停止していた上に、パソコン上に有り余る凄い量のデータを全バックアップできるHDが手元になく、通販も滞っており、大体が復活した頃にはもうすぐ日本に帰る日が迫っていて修理に出しても間に合わないとなり…
日本に帰ってきてからじゃないとどうにもならんとなってしまい…
おかげでぜっっっっったい必要より長い格闘を強いられましたが、まぁもう直ったんでいいです。過ぎたことなのでおっけーです。
でもイヤホンを８ヶ月間も使用できず、そのまま無くしました。今いったいどこにあるんでしょうか。
もしかしたら「１ヶ月で届くはずが１ヶ月半超えた今何故か未だに届かない、シンガポールから船便で送ったダンボール」の中に眠っているのかもしれません。
会いたいよ、イヤホン。使えないからってないがしろにしてごめんな。許してくれ。
お前がいなくなってからお前の重要性に気づいたんだよ（とか厄介な元交際相手みたいな事を言ってみる）。
最近友人とカメラの話をしていて、昔の写真を掘り起こしたので貼って起きます。
もう実は１年以上前の写真。UWCで行ったプロジェクト・ウィークです。

Not to brag, but I consider myself a professional at losing things when I haven’t even moved across rooms or anything and it should have been in my hand a few minutes ago.
And here I am, I have lost my earphones!
But okay, for a better reason than that.
So my Macbook had issues with playing music or any sound last winter- around December 2019 I recall- and kept making stereo noises in between. It gradually got worse and went from only making stereo noises, to making no noise at all. No matter what I did it did not get solved, so I took it to the Apple store. They worked with my speakers, got better for a minute then went back to not working again.
After multiple trials of changing the speaker, motherboard, etc etc, they gave a conclusion that I would have to entirely wipe my settings and OS and everything, and re-install it. By that time it had already gone into March, I was on like the 5th time heading to the Apple Store, and was very close to my final mock exams.
Deciding I could not afford to give my mac to repair for a full WEEK when I had to full-on revise, and I did not have access to an HD large enough capacity to hold all my bits and bobs on the mac, I left it for later.
Which did not go well. Because the COVID-19 spread so quickly and without control, all Apple Stores had gone on lockdown, and shipping had slowed down drastically so I couldn’t buy myself an HD.
With all this happening I, in the end, waited till I got back to Japan and gave it out for repair last week, and finally got it back and FIXED this week!!
It took way longer than it should have taken, but now I have audio working and data still alive. So I’m happy.
And this takes us back to the first topic- I hadn’t been able to use earphones since last year, and hence, did not touch or move them at all. Or maybe I did and I simply don’t remember it. But either way, I can’t find my earphones right now, and that is where I will start my week this week.
