なんかね、フィリピンの端にある小さめの島です。
プロジェクトウィークでね！頑張って来たのよ！！
めちゃくちゃ写真綺麗じゃない？
私たちの組んだ内容的に、キャンプ場から次のキャンプ場は主にカヤックでの移動だったのね？
当たり前のように毎日10kmくらい漕ぐんよ。。。
もっと少ないと思ってた。。。
おかげでバリバリ日焼けして帰って来ましたよ！！！！！！！！！
靴を履いてたところとそうでない境目の焼け方が酷すぎてずっとそこだけ靴下履いてるみたい。
現地のカヤックガイドさんに色々助けてもらったんですけど、フィリピンの人みんな優しい。
いろんな住人の方に話を聞いたり関わる機会があって、たくさんの話を聞けたのですが基本すごく楽しそうに話すんです。
台風で家が飛ばされちゃうやら、子供を大学に行かせる費用が足りなくて困ってるやら、考えさせられる話もたくさん聞きました。
でも、みんな基本楽しいことについて話すのが好きだし、みんなで会話してると基本笑い声が上がる環境でした。

自分たちはボランティア活動もしていたので、台風の影響を受けた家の屋根修復とかもしました。
葉っぱを編んで作る屋根を瓦のように積み上げて、また編んで。。。を手伝いました。楽しい。
すごい屋根作ってるでしょ。
あと地盤固める為にマングローブめっちゃ植えたり。苗１００個も植えたからね。すごくない？（自画自賛）
ほんで夜のカヤックが超印象的でした。
ファイアーフライ・カヤック、訳して蛍カヤック！！
太陽が沈む前に移動し始めて、沈んだ後の蛍が出てくる様子を見に行くツアーです。
残念ながら写真には全然映らないんですけどね。行きの写真ならあります。
いや夕焼け綺麗すぎる。
蛍の習性上、全ての蛍が一番都合のいい一本の木（養分・敵とかの有無によるらしい）に留まるんですけど、大量の蛍が飛び交う様子はどこのイルミネーションより綺麗でした。
後写真の通りどこまでも高いビルがないので、もう空が広い！！！
満面の空！３６０度どこ見ても空！
そんな場所の星空なんて。。。当たり前だけど。。。美しかったの〜〜😭😭😭
ガラスにグリッター振ったみたいな量の星。どこ見ても星だらけ。多い。輝いてる。
贅沢な経験！！！
ちょっと悲しくなったのが、夜にカヤックをするということで（野生の動物とか）注意点は？とガイドさんに聞いたところ、この大自然の川の中で唯一気をつけなければいけないと言われたことが観光客のツアーボートでした。
エンジンうるさいし、凄い波ができちゃってカヤック流されるし、蛍が嫌いな白い光を使うというね。。。
こんな雄大な自然の中で一番危ないものは人間でした。皮肉ですね。

I'm back from project week!! 🙂
So I was at this small island in the Philippines, for a 5-day trip.
We kayaked like.. 10km every day….
It was an awesome experience.
We did a variety of things; ranging from kayaking, volunteering, and some touristy-things.
We would kayak from one campsite to another every day, bringing our tents and things onboard on the kayaks.
Volunteering includes things like planting mangrove wildlings, creating roofs from palm leaves and actually weaving them on.
Touristy things like creating traditional crafts and kayaking at night to see the fireflies.
Whole in whole it was a beautiful place. Like, look at this.
What. Is this beauty.
There are no bright lights at night, nor there are tall buildings, so the sky looks large and just huge!
You can forget how vast the world is when you're constantly in a concrete jungle.
Also because of these surroundings, there are lots of things natural that you wouldn't always get to see.
The sunset looked like a burning ball of fire as the surrounding got purple and dark.
Almost to the point, it looked surreal. It's just so vivid and clear, it felt like a CG model or something.
Like the fireflies were something to remember forever.
Fireflies like to all stay around one tree, so when there is so many on that one tree, it looks decorated like Christmas tree lights and everything. Most beautiful illuminations ever.
When we asked the guides about what to be careful when kayaking at night, expecting answers about wild animals, the only thing they told us was to look out for tourist boats. The engine of these creates huge ripples in the water that rocks the kayaks, and the white light it uses will drive the fireflies away.
It felt kind of ironic that the only thing in this huge natural environment we had to be careful was, about humans.
