観光日和のナイアガラ記

今週はですね、なんと友人達とナイアガラの滝に行ってきました！！！
正直課題の量も多いし余裕なかったんですけど、これ以上後に行くとめちゃめちゃ寒いよとトロント出身の友達に脅され、さっさと行くことを決めました。
実際晴天で虹も見れたので、今週行ってラッキー！
トロントダウンタウンからナイアガラの滝までは電車で約２時間。
チケットは事前にネットで往復分買って臨みました。
席は自由席で、なんとなく景色がいいかな〜と２階の席に座ってみました。割と綺麗！左側の席の方が景色がいいかも！
平日は２階だけ静かにしてないといけない場所らしいので、気をつけて👍
ナイアガラ最寄りの駅から実際の滝までは歩いて３０分程度でした。
バスもあるんだけど、景色がいいし、遠くからでも滝とか下流の川が見えるんですよね。
ゆっくり散歩して向かい、いろんな植物が生えてて結構面白かったです。
ちなみに電車の往復券にバス代も含まれてるので、割とお得。
これは私が実際撮った写真。
なんかもうすごかったです。雄大すぎてちょっとスケールに実感湧かない。
写真にも見えるボートに乗って（＄３５とかだったかな）滝の近くまで行けたんですけど、水飛沫の水圧だけで倒れそうでした。

全然前見えないし、シャワーみたいな勢いで水かかってくるし。
滝壺に叩きつけられる水圧が気になるところ。
感染対策で船の上でもマスク必須だったんですけど、飛沫は水飛沫に叩き落とされてそうだな…とか考えてました。
いろんなネットサイトとかで「ナイアガラの滝観光に持っていくもの」とか調べると着替えとか、替えの靴下って書いてありますけど、第一に大切なのは替えのマスクです。２枚くらい持っていってください。
ポンチョから顔が出てるので、マスクが一番濡れます（経験者の言葉）。

So last week I went to the famous Niagara falls!!!
Honestly wasn’t in the mood, nor did I really have time with all the incompleted assignments, but my friend from Toronto warned me that if I go any later, it would be too cold to enjoy.
Which after going, I entirely understand!!! There is so much water splashing!!
It was 2 hours on the train from Downtown Toronto, which felt like a minute because I was with my friends.
From the Niagara station to the actual falls is about a 30-minute walk, which we took because the view was beautiful and it was an amazing sunny day, but there is a bus running.
The train ride to and from Toronto to Niagara comes with the bus ticket, so it’s nice to have the options.
The main attraction of the boat ride towards the falls was simply amazing.
Just from the water splashing at my face, it was so much pressure and I struggled to see properly!
The pictures above are what I managed to take on the day, the rainbows were absolutely wonderful 🙂
Just a reminder that spare face masks would definitely be important because you will, and I mean WILL, end up with a drenched face.
Because of COVID restrictions, we ate outside that day, which I really can’t recommend to anyone.
There were so many wasps? Bees? Flying nearby and it was really hard to eat with them trying to DIVE into our plates.
I don’t remember how many I knocked down with the lid of my takeaway platter, but if anyone’s going, make sure you can fight them off…

帰宅後気づいたのですが、足元が濡れすぎて日焼け止めが落ちたのか、見事靴下の形に日焼けしました。
泣ける。
