So the coronavirus is literally the focus of every single conversation now, and the school is also chased by it.
And apparently the mocks will be changed…??
Every year, we have the mock exams before our final IB ones.
This takes about 2 weeks, where all exams are crammed and gone through in exam conditions, so we get to experience it before the actual ones.
What the school said is that every year, due to the busy schedule and stress, many people end up or just become sick in the midst of this process; yet people still come to take the mocks for the sake of it.
Which doesn’t help in spreading the cold?
This is really not desirable, especially at this moment, where lowering the immune system could potentially cause worse- coronavirus, missing final exams, school close-down, death.
They don’t want to take that risk, so apparently that’s changing.
They’re changing mocks from 2 weeks to 1, and do 1 paper from each subject, plus dividing up the students so they are no more than about 50 people per class.
But the parents, when the heard this, disagreed with this plan and apparently are sending emails against this.
I thought it was a needed sacrifice, but that didn’t go for them.
So I’m not really sure yet, if it’s for sure changing to 1 week, or putting it back to 2 weeks.
