冬季限定、とかいう心惹かれる言葉
おはようございます。
また乾燥で肘がガサガサのケイトです。
寒い！帽子被らんと耳が冷たすぎてもげそう！！！
ちなみに視覚的にどれくらい寒いかというと、こんな感じ…
流れるはずの水が凍っちゃってる。左側の水溜りっぽいのは実は完全に凍ってるし、奥にだいぶ訳分からない形の氷も落ちてる。
今日も買い物帰り、分厚い氷に気づかずに上歩いてすっ転びかけて魂吹っ飛ぶかと思いましたね。
ヒュッって息吸いました。めちゃくちゃ心臓に悪い。そういえば昨日雨降ってたもんね…
大体の道は対策されてるおかげで凍らないんですけど、画像みたいにちょっと雪を避けて道以外の場所を歩こうとすると簡単に生死の境を彷徨います。
ということをシンガポール在住の友達に言ったら「雪が溶けて道が凍るとか考えたこともなかったわ」と驚かれました。
そうだよね。私もそもそも前日の雨が翌日まで影響してくることが変な感じです。
シンガポールとか、雨降った２、３時間後とかには跡形もなく乾いてるでしょ。
そんな危ない経験をした買い物で見つけたのが懐かしいこちら。
メルティーキッs…ん？
メルティー…ブレンド……ですか？
え、ブレンドってなに？？？？
包装の見た目も全く同じだし、なんかセールやってたから買って食べてみたけど私の記憶では味も似たようなものでした。
なんかあれかな、国外でメルティーキッスって名前が商標に使えなかったりするのかな。
日本では有名な雑貨屋「ドンキホーテ」も人名だからか、シンガポールでは「ドンドンドンキ」だし、店内で流れてる曲も「ドンドンドン・ドンキ〜ドンドン・ドンキ〜〜〜」ってホーテの部分無かったことにされてるし。初めて聞くとだいぶずっこける曲にアレンジされてます。
って勝手に納得して別の店に行ってみたらはいこちら。
どっちも売ってた。
なんやねん。
しかもキッスの方がちょっとパッケージ地味だった。
裏とかをよく見てみたところキッスくんは日本で作られてて、ブレンドくんは中国から来てました。
まぁ違いは分からないんですけど。
ちなみに「フルーティー濃いちご」はどっちにもあったけど、抹茶はキッスくんだけでヘーゼルナッツはブレンドくんだけの味でした。日本の明治のホームページにもヘーゼルナッツは載ってなかったです。そして公式曰くアメリカでもメルティーブレンドらしいよ。
んで、なんで別名で売ってるの？

I woke up with this rather large scratch on my hand and it’s not healing very well.
For the past few days, I’ve been making sure to apply cream, sunscreen and avoid direct sunlight, not fiddling with it…
But the discolouration is pretty obvious and I can see the bumps throughout the surface of my hand.
Hopefully it doesn’t end up like an obvious keloid.
They aren’t like, perfect or anything, but I love my hands and nails. I’d be so sad if I end up with a large scar.
I already have a lot of scars on my body, especially wayyy too much on my legs, but not on my hands or arms yet.
Also, I indeed scratched myself with my own nails in the middle of the night and gave myself that scar.
Yes it sounds stupid, and to be frank it really is stupid, but how was I supposed to help myself?
I recall feeling something on my nails and scratching on something, but I didn’t think it was my own hand…
What are some of your weird injury stories?
We all have some, don’t we? This might be only me, but I think it’s such a classic drunk-person conversation topic.
And a great ice-breaker too, because as they describe the story, you get to hear about their lives and how they used to be when they were younger and stuff.
Through talking to many people I’ve heard some super weird and gruesome injury stories, but they’re always hilarious to hear.
