対親知らず、第二ラウンド
どうも、おはようございます。
2週間前に引き続き、親知らずをもう2本抜いたケイトです。
めっちゃ痛かった。
右下の歯がですね、左下の歯を抜くより全然痛かったし、抜きづらかったです。
抜けなすぎて結構頑張った後、諦めて縦半分に割ってから引っこ抜いたくらいに抜けなかったです。
前回に比べてなんでこんなに抜けないのかと担当医さんに聞いたんですけど、聞くに、親知らずの歯の根っこは中々変な形をしているらしい。
他の歯は基本的に誰でも同じ感じで、例えば前歯の根っこは1本、小臼歯は2本に分かれている。でも親知らずだけは根っこが何本に分かれているのか、どのような形で伸びているのか一定ではなく、2本に分かれてたり3本になってたり多少ランダム性がある…だとな。
抜きやすい歯と、抜きづらい歯があるが故に、一番めんどくさくて大変な歯なんですって。
ちなみに、上の親知らずの根っこは二又のうち片方に一筋の線があって、もともと三又だったのに合体した跡が見える歯でした。
下の親知らずは二又に分かれていたんですけど、O字を描くような角度がついて顎の骨に絡みついていたため、上に引っ張っても引っかかってしまい中々抜けませんでした。
要は結構歯茎切って大変だったよって話です。
担当医さん、私の無駄話に付き合ってくださってありがとうございました…勉強になりました…
ちなみに歯を割ったってどういうこと？って感じしますけど、なんか水圧のカッター的なものでぶった切りました。
もう響きが怖いよね。水で歯を半分に割りました。
めっちゃ神経揺れて痛かったです。
あとなんかネットで見たんだけどパイナップルが腫れによく効くらしい。
本当か知らないけどとりあえずパイナップル食べときました。
うまい。

というか、「ブルーインパルス」って日本の航空自衛隊のアクロバット飛行専門チームの名前のことであって、この現象の名前では無いう事を昨日知りました。

Yesterday I got my other 2 wisdom teeth pulled out, and that was painfulllllll!!!!!!!!!!
Honestly, it was a lot more painful compared to the other 2 I got pulled out, just 2 weeks ago.
It was much harder to pull out, took more time, and even took another step in the procedure, even though it was the same “bottom wisdom teeth”.
I was so curious, that during the surgery, I decided to ask my doctor: Why there was such a difference between my right and left wisdom teeth?
So apparently from what I heard, the roots of all other teeth- like the front teeth, are all uniform and have a default number of roots and shapes, plus grows in rather predictable angles, which could be applied to everyone’s teeth.
This makes it easier for doctors to expect what kind of orientation the teeth are in, hence planning how they should pull it out is straightforwards.
But for the wisdom teeth, it can be varying from one person to another; even within the same person’s mouth.
There’s an aspect of randomness, as there could be 2 or 3 roots, in all sorts of weird angles, and the teeth themselves growing in awkward unexpected angles (which is the reason to pull it out in the first place).
This all makes predicting the teeth orientation and planning of how to pull them out to be rather difficult.
For example, my top right wisdom tooth showed 2 roots, but one of them had a line through it, suggesting that it used to have 3 roots that eventually collided together into one.
The troublesome bottom right wisdom tooth was very slanted and was squeezing into the next set of molars, which meant there was no space to pull it out, so the doctor had to crack the head of the tooth off.
After that, we found out that the tooth only had 2 roots, but they had a strong curve- almost forming an O shape around the jaw bone, which was why the teeth did not come out when the doctor pulled on it.
My stupid wisdom tooth (that sounds contradicting) was hanging on for its dear life.
The doctor had to crack the teeth in half from the top, separating the 2 roots, and then pulled them out individually.
WHICH MEANS, they had to cut my gums quite deep.
WHICH IS, the whole point of this blog post.
IT HURTS.

案の定、前回以上に思いっきり力を込めてぶっこ抜かれました。
やっぱ歯医者って腕力必要なんか？？？
