When a question pops up while learning something new, I tend to ask everything on the spot.
\n<\/span>But I ask too many questions in between, and by the time they finally ask, “Do you have any questions so far?”, I have already asked everything that came to my mind.
\n<\/span>Is it better to hold questions until the end?
\nWhen I’m learning something new and trying my best to remember it, I’m not confident\u00a0I can remember the questions that come to mind along the way till we’re done.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company I am at now for the internship has the highest percentage of Japanese people, among the companies I have worked for, and the communities I have belonged to.
\nThe majority of the people at my current internship are not “Japanese who grew up abroad” like me, but fully Japanese people who grew up in Japan, and immigrated to Canada after growing up due to work or other reasons, many of them older than me.
\n<\/span>So for example, I often bring an easy bagel sandwich for lunch because I can’t wake up early to put in so much effort in the morning, but they all pack their own little lunch boxes.
\n<\/span>Although I am in Vancouver, I feel as if I am working in Japan.
\n<\/span>There is nothing wrong about working with Japanese people and speaking Japanese, but it does feel vaguely strange and new.
\nOf course, I already knew this, but it reminds me that although I\u00a0am speaking Japanese, it is a grey zone when people ask me if I am quote-on-quote “Japanese”.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is neither a good thing nor a bad thing, just a fact, but it is interesting.<\/p>\n
