Last week, I went to Vancouver for the first time since junior high school!
\nThat was 2016, so it’s been 7\u00a0years. It’s been quite a while.
\nBack then I was in Vancouver\u00a0for about a month going to\u00a0summer school, and I hadn’t been to Vancouver since then.
\nTo my surprise,\u00a0after all this time, I managed to find some of the streets to look a little familiar, and it reminded me a lot of the things from\u00a0back then.
\nIt’s fun to come back to the same place after some time has passed, like this.
\nI still keep in touch with my friends from summer school.<\/p>\n

Personally, the highlight of my stay in Vancouver, other than sightseeing, was a visit to a company’s warehouse.
\nWe did go see a lot more things, but going to see the warehouse operations is the one that I remember quite vividly.
\nIt’s\u00a0because\u00a0just 2 months ago,\u00a0I had been working in that same warehouse’s Singapore branch for 2 weeks!
\n<\/span>I’m originally someone who watches a lot of factory tours and videos of how things are made on YouTube, but this was the first time I had a proper understanding of about 90% of what was going on in the\u00a0warehouse, so this was a new perspective.<\/p>\n

Sidenote, there’s a 3-hour time difference between Vancouver and Toronto, and the climate is also quite different.
\nToronto has distinct seasons and averagingly\u00a0strong winds.
\nIn the winter, it gets very cold (-10\u00b0C to -20\u00b0C) and snowy, but there is always plenty of sunshine.
\nVancouver, on the other hand, is often cloudy, and in winter whilst it doesn’t get as cold as Toronto, it tends to be rainy and overcast all the time.
\nA lot of patchy weather, but it’s still warm, I’d say.
\nIt’s completely up to you which one you prefer, but I’m a Toronto person.
\nI would\u00a0think it’s kind of annoying\u00a0to have rain all the time, but that might be because I’m just used to Singaporean weather!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
