So I finished my 2 weeks of my first wage job ever!<\/div>\n
Again, it was the first ever time that I did a job like this, so it was a great experience with a lot to learn.<\/div>\n
The first week I was way too concentrated on trying to learn all the new things, and not trying to cry over my aching legs, so I’m really glad I had the 2nd week as well.<\/div>\n
I realised I was much more aware of my surroundings and what others were doing, as well as felt much less panicky whilst doing time-sensitive tasks, especially because I\u00a0wasn’t so focused on my legs.<\/div>\n
By halfway past the 2nd week, I managed to get the hang of some of the tasks and was able to do them without thinking about each step of it. This was great because I wasn’t as mentally exhausted by the end of the day!<\/div>\n

Also as I said last week, there is quite a big deaf population at the warehouse, so I was wondering how things ran and how the bosses communicated with them.<\/div>\n
But as I was working I realised that there was\u00a0barely any verbal communication either!<\/div>\n
A lot of the job rotation was instructed via whiteboard and magnets, so as I walked into the warehouse first thing in the morning I could just pop in and see for myself. I think this was also really efficient, as\u00a0there doesn’t have to be a “whole group meeting” or anything like that before work. I am not a fan of taking in the morning either so it helped me too.<\/div>\n

Another thing I said last week,\u00a0there was quite a bit of “simple” physical labour, and I was worried it would quickly get\u00a0boring and tiring.<\/div>\n
Truth was, there was quite a range of roles within the job that were rotated around people daily, so for 2 weeks of being there, there was no boring moment.<\/div>\n
And for the more stagnant roles, there were multiple people doing the job at the same time so they would be speaking to each other all the time.<\/div>\n

So overall it was a lot of learning and many experiences I had never done before!<\/div>\n
Hopefully my next job would be fun and a lot to learn as well.<\/div>\n
