This week I headed to Tokyo Disneyland for the first time since middle school!
\nFun fact, Tokyo Disneyland isn’t really in Tokyo but in the Chiba prefecture right next to Tokyo, but we called it that anyway.<\/p>\n

Disney was quite an experience, especially seeing how different it felt now.
\nSince the last time I visited, which\u00a0was around 5 years ago or something, so much had changed and that was both exciting and a little sentimental.
\nFor example, maps used to be given out around the entrance along with a thick pamphlet with lots of information, but that was gone now.
\nInstead, you had to pre-install this app that includes the map, which also allows us to see waiting times on all the attractions. The app also served as the ticket to entry, and had a news board where you could see all closed attractions for the day, and read about seasonal gifts and foods that is available at the time.
\nIt’s really neat and useful, don’t you think?
\nIt also means having a smartphone (and strong signal!) is essential to enjoying the park to the maximum, so if anyone is planning to go, make sure you also carry a mobile charger with you.<\/p>\n

Something that made me a little sentimental is how the raffle to get tickets for popular shows was also done through this app. You would select whichever show you want to visit, and the app does a quick random selection and tell you if you got the ticket or not.<\/div>\n
What’s so special\u00a0about this is that, before, there used to be a whole entire building for this raffle.<\/div>\n
You had to put in your paper tickets to this ATM-ish machine, which had some cool magical effects and music before telling you if the seat was available.<\/div>\n
Clearly, the more efficient way to do this is via the app, and it makes sense. But those machines\u00a0just felt a lot more like an extraordinary, fancy magical “Disney experience” event, so I was sad that was no longer the case.<\/div>\n

On the whole, 10\/10 experience, food was great, rides were fun, highly recommend, definitely would visit again!<\/div>\n
