Last week I experienced fog for what probably is the\u00a0first time in my life, and that was a surprise.
\nI didn’t look at the weather forecast that day, so the first thing that I saw when I left\u00a0my house was just a blurred white filter on top of the usual streets.
\nIt\u00a0looked exactly like those blurry photo filters.
\nFor a solid minute, I thought my eyesight got worse within the span of a day and was really worried.
\nBut when I looked closer (and squinted) I saw the white were\u00a0actually tons of little moving spots, and finally figured out it was just fog when I looked at the weather forecast.<\/p>\n
I mean, how I was I supposed to know it was fog! \ud83d\ude00
\nThe closest thing I had seen is the haze in Singapore and Malaysia from burning forests.<\/p>\n
Honestly, it\u00a0was a lot more dangerous than I thought. I couldn’t see very far because it was just completely blurry, traffic lights were hard to see, I couldn’t even catch that someone was walking this way until we were quite close to each other.
\nNo wonder there are “beware of fog” signs on mountains! I never knew it affected our vision so much.<\/p>\n
On another note, Toronto is slowly but steadily approaching spring.
\nThe snow that has been piled up on the backyard since December has finally started to fully melt away, and I can see\u00a0the yard pavement for the first time in 3 or 4 months.
\nThat\u00a0was a really\u00a0long winter!<\/p>\n
… I did, in fact, forget to do any ice skating over the winter.<\/p>\n
