So Japan’s planning to go into another partial lockdown, and the frequency of this lockdown or whatever thing\u00a0happening is really making me question the what point the of this decision is or whether it has any benefits to the current situation at all with the statistics showing not much change in the number of COVID cases, but SURE.
\nLet’s just shut down all the restaurants so they all fail and go into debt.<\/p>\n

Honestly, at this rate, all the stores in less populated areas are going to be well\u00a0gone by the end of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

So for the above reasons I haven’t been able to do much\u00a0although I’m well into my summer holidays, but I did go for a little one day trip to a hot spring, just about 2 hours away from Tokyo by train.
\nThe trains there though!! I almost had the whole car to myself, both to and back!!!
\nThe shopping streets felt also quite empty, especially after staying in Tokyo for a while.<\/p>\n

It was one of the older-feeling parts of Japan, so they even had these antique phones on display.<\/p>\n

It was so nice, there was an open-air bath there in the middle of a bamboo forest, so I got to take a really good hot bath in super clean air without a mask; it was the freshest air I’ve had in literal forever.<\/p>\n
