\nWe’re\u00a0already in June. Well, that was quick.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, I have started to really face some tricky questions with my life.
\nLike, what to do for university.<\/p>\n

I thought I would just normally go to uni, but with the COVID-19 and everything, things do not go “normal” anymore.<\/p>\n

And so I have a few options.<\/p>\n

Firstly, I could either go to uni in Canada as planned earlier, or another uni in\u00a0Japan, or take a year off as a gap year.
\nGap years may be fun, but with the current state of the world, I’m not sure I can do much with it- and I’m not extremely into the idea of it anyways.<\/p>\n

The second question is if I go to UofT as planned, where do I want to study?
\nSo UofT has decided and announced that the following term or 2 terms (1 year) would be almost entirely online classes, due to the COVID-19 outbreak. That means, I can technically study from anywhere I want to.
\nBefore everything started to change, I was planning to go board in the uni dormitories near campus, and I actually have started the application and everything.
\nBut is it safe to fly so far from all my relatives now? What if either- me, or any of my relatives- get the virus? It would take forever to get back to Japan, or maybe even impossible to if I am to become\u00a0the patient.
\nPlus, it’s online classes, so I may as well stay in the cosy comfort of “not having to do all the housework alone” and even enjoy living in Japan for the first time in 12 years. I have not lived in Japan for 12 FULL YEARS, and this year may be the last chance I’d ever get.<\/p>\n

But if I go to Canada, I would have a lot of my classmates and the class of 2024 friends in the dormitories with me, which would probably directly positively relate\u00a0to my motivation for working and studying. According to my study (AKA Class of 2024 UofT Facebook group chat), a lot of people are actually planning to move into the dormitories from September.
\nI would also get to experience Canada and Toronto for the first time and would be more adapted when normal classes start.<\/p>\n

At the current moment, I have minimal ideas with what I’m going to do with myself, but hopefully, I’ll figure it out by the Canadian student visa deadlines…<\/p>\n
